March 27 Leafy Seminar and Luncheon: Real Estate and Cannabiz

Leafy Seminars Cannabis Education Series

Where cannabis entrepreneurs learn how to do business

MAR 27: REAL ESTATE AND THE CANNABIS INDUSTRY

[wp-eventbrite-checkout]

This Leafy Seminar will feature professionals who are practicing their craft at the intersection of cannabis and real estate in Maine. With the imminent launch of Maine’s adult-use cannabis industry, entrepreneurs looking to launch or expand a cannabis enterprise are learning just how complex the business can be. And among bread-and-butter business fundamentals, few issues can be as vexing as real estate. Where a cannabis business ultimately locates is the result of myriad forces over which they may have little control: land availability, land prices, local permitting process, local zoning, political support or lack thereof, etc.

In this session, we will hear from professionals who can speak to issues that cannabis entrepreneurs face in establishing a physical location for their business. Lawyers will share their insights related to the unique legal hiccups that may await a real estate investor. Cannabis industry experts who serve real estate professionals will offer the advice they give their clients, and we will discuss different models for how cannabis businesses can successfully gain access to real estate and win-win strategies that can benefit all parties while reducing legal risk to all parties.

Come join us to get invaluable advice for how real estate and cannabis professionals can work together to reap profits in the Maine cannabis industry. Lunch is included with ticket admission.
