Huzzah! After a years-long wait Maine cannabis businesses can finally access the Efficiency Maine energy efficiency incentive program. At this session, a leading energy and sustainability consultant and a representative from Efficiency Maine will share information about how the program can help your business to purchase and install energy-efficient equipment.

Jesse Remillard, representing Efficiency Maine, will walk viewers through the key aspects of the program, including the types of projects that are eligible for an incentive payment, project funding limitations, award criteria, and the application process. Sam Milton from Climate Resources Group / Enlighten Your Grow will outline his company’s efficiency incentive support services and share details about sample cannabis projects that would be eligible for Efficiency Maine incentive dollars.

Jesse Remillard, PE, ERS. Jesse is a Project Engineer at ERS and evaluates commercial energy efficiency applications for Efficiency Maine. Jesse focuses on the value verification of mechanical equipment upgrades for commercial and industrial facilities. He evaluates custom technologies, process improvements, HVAC, refrigeration, variable frequency drives, and lighting projects for both new and retrofit construction scenarios. His specialties include establishing baselines for custom technologies, investigating energy efficiency program measure costs, and reviewing power generation and energy storage technologies. He has an MS in mechanical and aeronautical engineering from the University of California, Davis, and a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Maine. Jesse was born and raised in Maine and enjoys spending time outdoors and with his family.

Sam Milton, Climate Resources Group. Sam is a New England-based entrepreneur who brings energy and sustainability solutions to the cannabis industry. Through the grower advisory service, Enlighten Your Grow, he guides cultivation facility developers and operators on approaches to optimize their grow operations and works with stakeholders nationwide to advance energy and environmental best practices. A seasoned energy policy and business management professional with 20 years of experience in the private and non-profit sectors, Sam brings a holistic approach to his work with his cannabis and other clients.
